Terms of service

Last updated: 3 November 2026

These Terms of Service (Terms) apply when you browse or buy from absolutezero.co.za (the Site). Please read them before you order. Clauses in bold limit our liability, place risk or responsibility on you, or are otherwise important. We've highlighted them, as section 49 of the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (CPA) requires.

1. Who we are

The Site is operated by Purifi Solutions (Pty) Ltd, a private company registered in South Africa (registration number 2023/943012/07), trading as Absolute Zero (we, us, our). Our full details, as required by section 43 of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 (ECTA), are set out in section 17 below and on our Contact Information page (absolutezero.co.za/policies/contact-information).

By placing an order or using the Site, you agree to these Terms, our Refund & Returns Policy (absolutezero.co.za/policies/refund-policy), our Shipping Policy (absolutezero.co.za/policies/shipping-policy) and our Privacy Policy (absolutezero.co.za/policies/privacy-policy).

2. Who can order

  • You must be 18 or older, or have the consent of a parent or guardian, to place an order.
  • We deliver to addresses in South Africa only.
  • Please give us accurate contact and delivery details. We are not responsible for delays or failed deliveries caused by incorrect details.

3. Our products

Absolute Zero drinks are 300 ml sparkling functional beverages in cans. We currently sell two flavours: Pineapple & Coconut and Orange & Cranberry.

  • Health information: our drinks contain functional and botanical ingredients, listed on the label. They are food products, not medicines, and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. They are not recommended for children, pregnant or breastfeeding women. If you take medication or manage a medical condition, consult a healthcare professional before use.
  • Ingredients and allergens: always read the label on the can before drinking. If you have an allergy or dietary requirement, contact us before ordering if you need more information.
  • Storage: store in a cool, dry place, out of direct sunlight, and refrigerate before use. Do not freeze. Best-before dates are printed on each can.
  • Product images are for illustration. Can artwork may change slightly between production runs.
  • Coming 2027: our Kids and Active ranges are shown on the Site for information only. They are not for sale and cannot be pre-ordered; only the products listed for sale on the Site are available on pre-order.

4. Prices

  • All prices are in South African rand (ZAR) and include VAT at 15%.
  • We sell our drinks in packs. The minimum order is one 6-pack. Current prices: 6-pack R219.00; 12-pack R399.00; case of 24 R699.00. Prices shown on the Site at the time you order apply.
  • Mixed packs (both flavours) are available as a 12-pack (6+6) or case of 24 (12+12) only.
  • Delivery fees are shown at checkout before you pay. See our Shipping Policy (absolutezero.co.za/policies/shipping-policy).
  • We may change prices from time to time. Price changes do not affect orders already confirmed.
  • If a price is clearly wrong because of an obvious error, we will contact you before dispatch. You may then accept the correct price or cancel the order for a full refund.

5. Placing an order

  • Before you place your order, the checkout shows a summary of your order, including products, quantities, delivery fee and total price. You can review and correct any errors, or abandon the order, before you confirm it.
  • After you place an order we send you an order confirmation email. This confirms that we have received your order and forms the agreement between you and us. For pre-orders, see clause 5A.
  • We may decline or cancel an order, and refund you in full, if a product is unavailable, if we suspect fraud, or if there is an obvious pricing error. We may also limit the quantity per order.
  • Your order confirmation email is your record of the transaction. You can also view past orders in your account, if you create one. Please save or print it for your records.

5A. Pre-orders

  • Pre-order. Our products are currently offered on pre-order. Your order confirmation email confirms your pre-order and the expected dispatch month, currently February 2027. You pay nothing when you place a pre-order.
  • Payment. Before dispatch, we'll email you a secure payment link for the full order amount, including delivery. Please pay within 7 days of that email. If payment isn't received in that time, we'll send one reminder. If it's still unpaid, the pre-order lapses and is cancelled, and you owe us nothing.
  • Cancellation. You may cancel a pre-order at any time before payment, at no cost, by emailing hello@absolutezero.co.za. If you've paid but your order hasn't been dispatched, you may still cancel for a full refund.
  • Delivery date. By placing a pre-order, you agree to delivery after the 30-day period in section 46 of ECTA, based on the expected dispatch month above. If we can't dispatch by the end of that month, we'll tell you as soon as possible and give you a revised date. You may then either accept the new date or cancel for a full refund of anything you've paid. Nothing in this clause limits your rights under the CPA, including section 19.
  • Prices. The price in your order confirmation is the price you pay, even if our prices change before your payment link is sent.

6. Payment

  • We accept the payment methods shown at checkout, processed by our third-party payment provider.
  • Payments are processed by our payment provider over a secure, encrypted connection. We do not see or store your full card details.
  • For pre-orders, you pay by the secure payment link we email you before dispatch (see clause 5A). We dispatch orders only once payment has been confirmed.

7. Delivery

We deliver by courier within South Africa. Delivery times, fees, risk and what happens if a delivery is late are set out in our Shipping Policy (absolutezero.co.za/policies/shipping-policy).

8. Returns, cancellations and refunds

Our Refund & Returns Policy (absolutezero.co.za/policies/refund-policy) explains how to report damaged, defective or incorrect items, return unopened products, cancel an order and receive a refund. It also explains how the ECTA cooling-off right and the exclusion for everyday foodstuffs and beverages in section 42 of ECTA apply to our products. Nothing in it limits your rights under the CPA, including section 56.

9. Your account

If you create an account, keep your login details confidential. You are responsible for activity on your account unless it results from our failure to keep the Site secure. Tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorised use.

10. Discount codes and promotions

Discount codes and promotions are subject to the conditions published with them, may be used once per order unless stated otherwise, have no cash value and cannot be applied after an order is placed.

11. Using the Site

You agree not to misuse the Site, including by attempting unauthorised access, introducing malicious code, scraping content or placing fraudulent orders. We may suspend access to protect the Site or our customers.

12. Intellectual property

Absolute Zero™, our logos, can designs, text, photographs and other Site content belong to Purifi Solutions (Pty) Ltd or its licensors. You may not copy or use them for commercial purposes without our written permission.

13. Privacy

We process your personal information in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA). Our Privacy Policy (absolutezero.co.za/policies/privacy-policy) explains what we collect, why, how we protect it, and your rights. You can unsubscribe from marketing messages at any time.

14. Liability

  • To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss or harm caused by using our products contrary to the label, by storing them incorrectly after delivery, or by events beyond our reasonable control.
  • To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as loss of profit, arising from use of the Site.
  • Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability where the law does not allow it, including under the CPA (for example, section 61 liability for harm caused by unsafe or defective goods) or for gross negligence.

15. Complaints and disputes

If something goes wrong, contact us first at hello@absolutezero.co.za and we'll work to resolve it quickly. If we can't resolve it, you may refer the matter to the Consumer Goods and Services Ombud (CGSO, www.cgso.org.za), the National Consumer Commission (www.thencc.org.za), or a court with jurisdiction.

16. General

  • These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and South African courts have jurisdiction.
  • We may update these Terms from time to time. The version on the Site when you place an order applies to that order.
  • If any part of these Terms is found invalid, the rest stays in force.
  • If we don't enforce a right immediately, we haven't given it up.
  • Emails and other electronic messages we send you count as written communications, as ECTA provides.
